I have been challenged to not open a beer for myself the same way throughout the duration of the trip. I will look for unique ways to open beers for myself. Those who know me, are aware that I tried to do this on the last trip but the below equation was true:
Beers to Consume > Unique Opening Options
If the left side of the equation is to remain constant, I will need more recommendations for the right side of the equation. Please post recommendations below. I need to start practicing.
Day 6: Blackberry
Successful proof of concept:
ReplyDeleteWheel spokes of a bicycle worked tonight.
Chain link fence at rest area or campsite.
DeleteIdle grill tools.
Teeth. Children's toy.
ReplyDeleteThe rim of the car tires? What if at every stop, you pick up a new key chain bottle opener or two? Does that count?
ReplyDeleteDay 1: Beer #1 was outsourced to bar staff. Beers 2 & 3 were Sam Summer cans brought from home, so no opportunity yet.
ReplyDeleteTo everyone who has posted: Great ideas (except for Jill's).
Seat belt latch. (Warning: Not to be opened or consumed while driving!)
ReplyDeleteI've got it! Buy cans!!!!!
ReplyDeleteA lighter.
ReplyDeleteNot for nothing....just an observation but it seems to me the right side of the equation is out weighing the left. Just saying!
What about a tire iron (hopefully opening your bottle is the only reason you use this on your trip), street sign, or toothbrush?
ReplyDeleteDay 2:
ReplyDelete@ Hirsch's: Scotch and wine. No opportunities.
Day 3:
Twist tops and cans. No opportunities.
Day 4:
Twist tops and out sourced. No opportunities.
Bruins game tonight. I am heading out to buy bottles of beer.
Day 5:
ReplyDeleteBeer #1 was bottle on bottle
Beer #2 I used a rock from Greg's hike which was smuggled into his room.
Day 6:
ReplyDeleteBeer #1: Butt End of a Spatula
Beer #2: Blackberry (Video Included)
